Artists Nancy Dillen and Quentin Walter Exhibiting at Art on 18th Gallery

Nancy Dillen, retired Art Professor Emeritus, Eastern Florida State College (formerly Brevard Community College) and Quentin Walter, Art Director, STOUTHOUSE are the featured artists at Art on 18th Gallery, November 2015.  The opening reception will be during the First Friday Gallery Stroll, November 6, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Vero Beach. Art on 18th Gallery is a shuttle stop on the gallery loop.

Nancy Dillen paints with oil paints that she mixes herself.  This exhibit titled REUNITED features several of Ms. Dillen’s dog, cat, goat, and bird paintings that capture the essence of the animals.  Ms. Dillen is intrigued with the relationships between landscape, color, and space.

Quentin Walter’s intimate paper collages feature a selection of works from her fashionista series that are inspired by runway models, classical art and antiques, and jewelry.  The intricate pieces of paper are cut from magazines using 8” Titanium stainless steel scissors. The completed image evolves much like creating a spontaneous puzzle with many layers of meaning.
